FlangeZ es un programa portable, gratuito y de código abierto publicado bajo licencia GNU-GPL v3 que funciona a modo de asistente para diseñar bridas de acuerdo a las fórmulas descritas en “Rules For Bolted Flange Connections With Ring Type Gaskets” (código ASME). Asiste en en un método de "prueba y error" para determinar un diseño que brinde las características mecánicas necesarias.
Adicionalmente cuenta con un calculador decimal-científico y una herramienta de generación de tablas de "flange factors". También expone el algoritmo detallado en un registro de cálculo ("Calculation Log"). El calculador reconoce expresiones con variables (cuyo valor se define en la misma línea del InputBox) y con la sintaxis más utilizada.
FlangeZ utiliza iconos de "Open Icon Library" y de "Tango project"
